Mishkat
Integrative & transpersonal Counselling
My Approach
In a world that often leaves us without a meaningful framework for understanding our inner lives, I offer a holistic, depth-oriented approach to counselling that is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and grounded in genuine human connection. My work honours not only healing, but also questions of identity, suffering, purpose, and spiritual becoming.
Drawing on contemplative and wisdom traditions alongside contemporary therapeutic approaches, I have been supporting clients since 2020 in reconnecting with their emotional life, inner wisdom, and deeper sense of self. Together, we make space for reflection, insight, embodiment, and meaningful change.
As your counsellor, I offer a grounded, receptive, and compassionate presence. Rather than seeking quick solutions, our work invites greater awareness of what is unfolding within you and a more intentional relationship with yourself and your life.
The name Mishkāt comes from an Arabic word meaning “the niche that holds a lantern.” I chose it for the image it carries: a protected space in which light can be held and allowed to illuminate what is already there. This reflects how I understand counselling, not as giving someone the answers, but as creating the conditions for greater clarity and understanding to emerge.
Rooted in transpersonal psychology and existential psychotherapy, my approach to counselling explores the deeper dimensions of consciousness, meaning, and the human search for wholeness. Whether you are navigating trauma, transition, spiritual questions, or personal growth, our work supports greater integration, resilience, and authentic presence.

To live in this world, you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go.
