My Approach
Mishkāt is an Arabic word meaning “the niche that holds the lamp,” a symbol of illumination, presence, and inner light that reflects the essence of my counselling practice.
In a world that often leaves us without a meaningful framework for understanding our inner lives, I offer a holistic, depth-oriented approach to mental health that is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and grounded in genuine human connection. My work honours not only psychological healing, but also the deeper questions of identity, suffering, purpose, and spiritual becoming.
Drawing from contemplative and wisdom traditions alongside contemporary psychological approaches, I have been supporting individuals since 2020 in reconnecting with their emotional life, inner wisdom, and deeper sense of self. Together, we cultivate greater awareness, embodiment, and integration while making space for reflection, insight, and lasting transformation.
As your counsellor, I offer a grounded, receptive, and compassionate presence where healing can unfold organically. I approach each session with curiosity, care, and reverence for the uniqueness of your experience. Rather than seeking quick solutions, our work invites a gradual deepening into awareness, intentional living, and authentic presence.
Rooted in transpersonal and existential psychology, my approach explores the deeper dimensions of consciousness, the life of the heart, and the human search for wholeness. Whether navigating trauma, life transitions, spiritual questions, or personal growth, our work together seeks to foster greater integration, resilience, and a more authentic relationship with yourself and the life you are living.
Please don't hesitate to contact me to arrange online or in-person sessions.

To live in this world, you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go.
